The National Football League has already made a contingency plan for the Minnesota Vikings wild card playoff game on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams due to the wildfires devastating the Los Angeles area.

If they need to move the game, the game will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the Cardinals.

Vikings vs. Rams could be moved to Glendale

If the game is moved, that news will likely come in the next couple of days. Now, the NFL does believe that the game will be played in Los Angeles, but this is a contingency plan for a worst-case scenario.

If that does happen, it could be a huge advantage for the Vikings. Minnesotans often become snowbirds, where they live up north during the summer months and live in Arizona during the winter months. It would also force Rams fans to travel to Arizona on very short notice and that could be an issue with the wildfires.

Things could get complicated for a lot of reasons and that is going to be worth monitoring.
