The Minnesota Vikings will be playing the second half against the New York Jets without running back Aaron Jones as the team ruled him out with a hip injury per the NFL Network broadcast.
Jones injured his hip in the first half and was seen on the broadcast trying to work out the injury and come back into the game. It didn't end up working out and he won't return.
Jones has been excellent for the Vikings this season and was starting to get his footing on Sunday. He had seven carries for 29 yards while also hauling in a key third down reception from Nick Mullens for 24 yards where he Mossed the defender. In his place will be 2022 fifth-round pick Ty Chandler who has shown some explosiveness in running through the Jets defense.
Luckily for Jones and the Vikings, there is a bye week after Sunday's game and he will have two weeks to heal up.
