The play came on second and nine for the Vikings right after getting a fourth down stop on the 49ers with a batted pass by Andrew Van Ginkel. Blake Brandel was called for a false start and Aaron Jones ran the ball for two yards before the play.

It was a dagger concept with Jefferson running a deep post and Jalen Nailor running the dig route underneath. 49ers safety Ji'Ayir Brown bit on the dig route just enough for Jefferson to create separation and take it to the house.

The score gave the Vikings a 10-0 lead in the second quarter and it continues to look like Darnold is having a renaissance season with the Vikings.
