Nothing can ever go right for the Minnesota Vikings.

At the end of the third quarter, quarterback Sam Darnold left the game with a knee injury caused by former Vikings edge rusher Danielle Hunter by hitting him below the knee. It prompted a roughing the passer penalty and had the fanbase worried.

Luckily for the Vikings, it didn't seem to make much of an impact. Nick Mullens came in for one play and Darnold came back onto the field.

He didn't just come back on the field, the crowd gave him a rousing ovation that culminated in MVP chants. Yes, Darnold got MVP chants from the Vikings crowd.

Things have come a long way for Darnold. From failing with the New York Jets as the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers for two seasons and one year as the backup to Brock Purdy..

Right now, you could make an argument that Darnold is the league's MVP because of how well he is playing with seven touchdowns and having the Vikings playing as well as any team in the NFL. There are still plenty of games left to be played, but it's great to see nonetheless.
