The Minnesota Vikings are approaching must-win territory, and it’s only Week 3 as they are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals.

It will be a tough one for the Vikings to maneuver around with the multitude of injuries, including to starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who will miss 2-4 weeks with an ankle injury. They will also be missing running back Aaron Jones with a hamstring injury, which landed him on injured reserve.

The Bengals are in a similar spot, as Joe Burrow is set to miss the game against the Vikings due to a severe turf toe injury that landed him on injured reserve as well. That means we’re getting Jake Browning against Carson Wentz, and it’s going to have a sizable audience, according to 506sports.com.

The normal portions of the country that would be seeing the Vikings play are doing so. The entirety of the red spaces are getting the game, including the majority of the NFC North. Portions of Wisconsin won’t be seeing the game due to the Green Bay Packers playing on Fox at the same time. With CBS only airing one game in each market this week, they are getting the late game of the Denver Broncos taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.

Vikings announcers are top-tier

We’ve known since August that the Vikings would be getting the top announcer team on CBS.

  • Jim Nantz: Play by play
  • Tony Romo: Color commentary
  • Tracy Wolfson: Sideline reporter
