The Minnesota Vikings are heading across the Atlantic Ocean to take on the New York Jets in a week five matchup. With a win, the Vikings would move to 5-0 on the season, which would be the first time the Vikings have accomplished that since 2016 when they started 5-0 before the bye week in 2016 with Sam Bradford.

Going into their week five matchup, the Vikings have a chance to accomplish something that nobody else has in the history of the National Football League.

Vikings have chance to go 4-0 in London

The Vikings have played in three previous international games:

  • 2013: 34-27 win vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
  • 2017: 33-16 win vs. Cleveland Browns
  • 2022: 28-25 win vs. New Orleans Saints

If the Vikings win the game on Sunday, they will be the first team to start 4-0 in international games with all of them having been in London. If you include exhibition games, the Vikings would improve to 8-0 in all games outside of the United States.

  • 1983: 28-10 win vs. St.Louis Cardinals in London
  • 1988: 28-21 win vs. Chicago Bears in Goteburg, Sweden
  • 1993: 20-6 win vs. Buffalo Bills in Berlin, Germany
  • 1994: 17-9 win vs. Kansas City Chiefs in Tokyo, Japan

The Vikings kick off with the Jets on Sunday morning.
