While the New England Patriots have decided on their initial 53-man roster, changes are constantly being made throughout the season.
They even added four new players on waivers and then released four players the day after final roster cuts. And more moves are expected before the Patriots' first regular season game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
There are a lot of solid players still available, whether it be free agents or players who are on the practice squads.
So here are three players the Patriots must find a way to try and sign:
OT Geron Christian
Geron Christian is an experienced offensive tackle in the league, having spent time with numerous different teams. Most recently, he spent the preseason with the Tennessee Titans. But it's his past in Cleveland during the 2023 that really stands out. Christian made nine starts in nine games last season with the Browns, having worked with Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and offensive line coach Scott Peters.
That familiarity combined with the help needed at tackle could make him the perfect addition. And after being released in final roster cuts, he was not picked up by another team. So this is a player that will be easy to pick up.
WR Donovan Peoples-Jones
After being waived by the Detroit Lions at the beginning of the week, he was re-signed to the team's practice squad. But he's a receiver that the Patriots should be taking a serious look at.
The team initially had seven wide receivers on the 53-man roster, but released one on Wednesday to make room for the new waiver claims.
Peoples-Jones is familiar with offensive coordinator Alex Van-Pelt's system, having been drafted by the Browns in 2020. He stayed with the team until October 2023, when he was traded to the Lions.
Last season, he only caught five passes for 58 yards in eight games. But the year prior, he had 61 catches for 839 yards and three touchdowns when working with Van Pelt.
The Patriots could sign him off the Lions' practice squad to the active 53-man roster.
TE C.J. Uzomah
The Patriots need a blocking tight end, and Uzomah has been utilized as one during his NFL career. However, he can also serve as a pass catcher.
So what's not to like.
Uzomah was released by the Philadelphia Eagles prior to final roster cuts and has not signed with another team.
He's a veteran and has played in the league for nine seasons, most of which were with the Cincinnati Bengals. Across 106 games played, he has 192 receptions for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns.
