It seems Bill Belichick might have found his next team.

The Falcons announced that they had interviewed Belichick earlier this week, and now NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the former Patriots head coach will have a second interview with Atlanta.

He previously met with owner Arthur Blank 1-on-1.

After Six Super Bowl championships across 24 seasons, Belichick and owner Robert Kraft mutually parted ways. Thought to be the greatest coach of all time, it's no surprise why Atlanta would be interested.

And they are in need of some help after firing head coach Arthur Smith immediately following the team's Week 18 loss to the New Orleans Saints

Even before Belichick and the Patriots decided to part ways, there were reports that the Falcons were keeping a very close eye on the situation.

Belichick wants to go somewhere where he can break Don Shula's record, being only 15 games away. And it seems he thinks Atlanta is where that can happen.

As for the Patriots, a new era began in New England on Wednesday as the team formerly introduced Jerod Mayo as the 15th head coach. So it seems fitting that Belichick is also starting to embark on his next chapter as well.

Things are getting serious!

And the Falcons and Patriots are set to play in 2025, with the game taking place at Gillette Stadium. That would be quite an interesting one to cover.
