The New England Patriots secure a major win in Daniel Jeremiah's latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

With the fourth overall pick, Jeremiah has the Patriots selecting Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter.

"Bolstering the offensive line would seem to be the obvious move here for the Patriots, but it would be tough to pass up such a unique talent like Hunter. He would immediately be their most potent weapon for Drake Maye," Jeremiah wrote.

This would give Maye and the Patriots a true top target. And it works out because of how things fall with the other teams. Most of the free agent quarterbacks have made their decision, leaving some teams without a true starter at the moment.

The Tennessee Titans hold the first overall pick and Jeremiah has them taking Miami quarterback Cam Ward. He then has the New York Giants, who are rumored to be heavily pursuing Aaron Rodgers, selecting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the third overall selection. As for the Cleveland Browns, they take Penn State edge Abdul Carter, who is rumored to be the top prospect in the draft, at two.

Hunter has the ability to also help out on defense, but the Patriots won't have rely on him since they have cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis. That means that Hunter can instead spend the majority of his time working on offense and building that connection with Drake Maye.

Many people think the Patriots should be taking a starting left tackle with the pick, but if Hunter is still on the board, they can't pass up the opportunity to bring him to Foxborough.
