There is good and bad news for New England Patriots fans ahead of Sunday's NFL slate.

The good news is that fans will not have to worry about another loss; however, that is because the Patriots are on their bye week (the bad news).

But for anyone looking for something to watch (and potentially root for), here are some games to keep an eye on. And the main one is a matchup that can have serious implications for the Patriots draft position.

New York Giants vs. Washington Commanders, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

After the bye week, the Patriots are headed to Met Life Stadium to take on the Giants. So this divisional matchup for New York is more important than even, and will allow Patriots fans to get a closer glimpse into what to expect soon.

With that, the Patriots and Giants are currently vying for one of the top draft spots. And with a fairly loaded group of prospects heading into the draft in 2024, it will be interesting to see the direction both teams take.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

Following their matchup against the Giants, the Patriots return to Gillette Stadium for one of their final three home games of the season against the Chargers.

Currently sitting at 4-5 this season, this could be a winnable matchup for the Patriots, so seeing how they fair against the Packers will be crucial.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Patriots head to Pittsburgh for a Thursday Night Football matchup on Dec. 7. The Steelers have caused problems for some of the top teams in the league this season and are looking to keep their playoff spot.

Because of that, this will certainly be a tough one for New England. And neither team is going to want to lose in Prime Time.

New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS)

An AFC Divisional matchup will always be important for Patriots fans to watch. And this one especially because New England still has to face both of these teams one more time before the season is over.

The Patriots head to Buffalo on New Years Eve to face the Bills, and then will conclude their season on Jan. 7 against the Jets.

The Bills recent struggles also make this game all the more interesting, with the Jets, led by Zach Wilson at the moment, having a chance to win. New York's chances of making the playoffs are unlikely, but with the potential return of Aaron Rodgers soon, they will do everything in their power to try and change their luck.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Minnesota Vikings vs Denver Broncos, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC)

Maybe the Patriots can receive a Christmas miracle. On Christmas Eve, New England faces off against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos, at Empower Field at Mile High. Both teams are in last place in their respective divisions, but the Broncos have had more success this season.

Seeing how Denver takes on the Vikings, who are riding a high after some big wins recently, will be very telling.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC)

And last but not least, the Patriots have a Monday Night Football matchup against the Chiefs coming up. Kansas City is once again a Super Bowl contender, so this is certainly a long shot for the struggling Patriots.

However, this is rematch of last year's Super Bowl and will be a good game. The Patriots also narrowly came away with the win against the Eagles in Week 1, so how the Chiefs do against Philadelphia could help them gain an advantage.
