The New England Patriots are in a prime position in the 2024 NFL Draft. They currently hold the No. 3 overall pick, but there is speculation about whether they will keep it or trade it away.
Patriots director of scouting Eliot Wolf provided some input on where their heads are at right now.
“I’d say all options are on the table,” Wolf told reporters during the NFL’s Scouting Combine.
And Wolf also confirmed that he will be in charge of making the final decision on the pick.
But there apparently has been much discussion with other teams about trading up with the Patriots. Wolf gave a fairly vague answer when asked about it, but he said enough.
“We haven’t heard anything specific yet,” he added.
But as he said, anything is possible. And the Patriots haven't ruled out the possibility.
So the Combine will be very telling for New England, as they plan to meet with USC's Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, LSU’s Jayden Daniels at the Combine this week.
And if the Patriots keep their pick, they are expected to land Maye or Daniels if they go the quarterback route, or Marvin Harrison Jr. if they pick a wide receiver.
“We’re pretty early in the process here,” he said. “As we continue through the process here, we’ll determine what’s best for the team.”
Patriots’ Eliot Wolf says he ‘definitely wants to keep’ two key free agents
This is extremely good news.
