The New England Patriots looked like a whole new team during the first half of their Thursday Night clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And after their struggles throughout the season, many were confused by this performance. That included Patriots legend Julian Edelman.

Edelman typically posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, during the games, but this post stood out. The former receiver simple wrote, "Are the Pats back?"

I'm sure that's what many are wondering after the Patriots managed to get into the end zone three times in the first half.

It began with Zappe sending a short pass to Ezekiel Elliott who ran it into the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown.

Jabrill Peppers than came away with another stellar defensive play, intercepting Mitch Trubisky and returning it for 32 yards, getting the ball to the Pittsburgh 11-yard line. Zappe took advantage, sending a pass to Hunter Henry for the second touchdown of the night.

And a little later, Zappe and Henry connected once again with a 24-yard touchdown.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, could have seen this one coming.

And this came after the Patriots suffered a shut out loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last week.

This was Edelman's reaction to that game:

Let's see if they can keep it up in the second half.
