Chase Winovich officially announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday night.
The defensive end posted on instagram with the announcement along with a series of photos from his history playing football.

Winovich began his career with the New England Patriots, being drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Michigan. After three seasons with the Patriots, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns prior to the 2022 season.
That was the final year of his original contract, and after the season with the Browns, he signed a one year contract with the Houston Texans, but was released as part of final roster cuts in before the start of the 2023 season.
The Miami Dolphins signed him to the practice squad immediately after cutdown day, but was released last Tuesday.
Across his five seasons in the league, Winovich had a total of 108 tackles, 12 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception.
He also had one return touchdown for the Patriots during his rookie season (2019), which marked his only scoring play during his entire career.
