A lot is said at Gillette Stadium each and every week as the New England Patriots season continues.
It's a new era for the Patriots, with head coach Jerod Mayo leading the way and a whole new look to the offense with Jacoby Brissett in the pocket. Not to mention the continued dominance from the defense.
With all the important quotes throughout the week, A to Z Sports is starting a new weekly story where we will put in key things that the players and coaches say ahead of their Week 3 game against the New York Jets.

Raekwon McMillan on Ja'Whaun Bentley's injury and how that might impact his role this season
“It’s coming at the expense of my brother being down, but I’d say it’s an opportunity for me,” McMillan said. "It’s a new chapter. It’s a new part of my career. Hopefully, I can finish it off the right way — really finish it off.”
*Bentley is out with a torn pec. It is not know if it will be season ending, but he will be out for a long period of time.

DeMario Douglas on having just two catches through two games
Have you been able to show what you can do on the field?

Jerod Mayo and Jacoby Brissett on DeMario Douglas' frustration
Mayo: “All of those guys in that locker room want to play football. All of those guys in the locker room want to help the team win. If they’re not frustrated, then that’s an even bigger problem,” Mayo said. “Every single week, somebody’s going to be frustrated. Every single week, you’re going to have to put more on one side of the ball or more on one individual than the other just based off matchups. If you’re not frustrated, that to me just says a lot.”
Brissett: “I’m glad he’s frustrated. If he wasn’t, that would be more alarming than him not getting the ball to be honest to you,” Brissett said on WEEI. “You just explain it to him, you’re going to have those games where it happens like that.
“It’s the second game of the year. We’re still trying to figure out our identity and how this thing is going to play out as far as the offense. It’s a long season ahead. I told him, man, there’s 15 games left … it’s a lot of football ahead of us. Obviously, we’re still getting better as a whole, individually, as an offense. I’m glad he’s frustrated, but I’ll see how he uses the frustration the right way.”
"We gotta find ways to get him the ball."

Jerod Mayo on Chukwuma Okorafor being placed on exempt/left squad list
"Chuks left the building. He's not with the team. He's doing some thinking, but at this point in time, he's not with the team, so I don't want to get into that. I told you guys I did give him a call. We had a good call. It had nothing to do with football or a roster spot; it had everything to do with just making sure that he was okay."

Jerod Mayo on his confidence in Caedan Wallace if Vederian Lowe is inactive on Thursday
"We'll have to see. He's had some good snaps for us, and that's what it's all about. It's next man up mentality. I know it sounds very cliché or very corny, but that's the world we live in. This is the roster that we have, and we're going to make do with it."
