The New England Patriots suffered another embarrassing loss on Sunday, falling to a Washington Commanders squad who just traded away two of their top players away at the deadline.

So with that, the rumors of Bill Belichick's time in New England coming to an end are stronger than ever.

With a record of 2-7 heading into Week 10, Belichick was asked if he has received any assurances from ownership about his job status for the rest of the season.

“My focus is on getting ready for the Colts,” Belichick said.

Belichick was then asked if he felt like he was coaching for his job this week as the Patriots prepare to play the Indianapolis Colts in Germany.

“I’m going to control what I can control and I’m going to get ready for the Colts,” he replied.

These rumors prove just how bad the Patriots season is going, with Belichick having brought six Super Bowl championships to New England. Yet after losing Tom Brady, the team has shown a decline.

And they are currently last in the AFC this season.

Every move the Patriots organization makes is under a microscope and that includes a conversation between owner Robert Kraft and his son Jonathan Kraft during the game.

This clip went viral and Belichick was asked about that during his weekly Monday morning appearance on WEEI.

“I would think you’d have to ask them about what they're saying,” Belichick said on The Greg Hill Show. “But yeah, we didn't do enough yesterday."
