Julian Edelman did not hold back when voicing his true opinion before Sunday's New England Patriots matchup against the New York Giants. And the best part is that he didn't even have to say that much.
While the game is between two teams who are clearly not doing very well this season, it still remains very important.
Sitting at 2-8, Patriots fans have already started to look towards the 2024 NFL Draft. And it's New England and the Giants who are competing for one of those top spots. So the loser of the game is in a better spot for next season.
And Edelman is with the majority, already focusing on next season.
Edelman's photo choice is also key, with this picture having gone viral during 2020 NFL Draft when everyone was quarantined at home due to the pandemic So it wasn't hard to figure out that he was talking about the draft.
The Giants pulled out a win over the Washington Commanders last week, bumping their season record to 3-8. With the Patriots only having two wins this season, they currently sit above New York in the draft order.
Tankathon currently has the Patriots selecting third overall, while the Giants are fifth.
So, for probably the first time in his entire career, Edelman is actually rooting for the Giants on Sunday.
Who would have thought this would even happen?
