Kendrick Bourne's future is a bit unknown at the moment as the wide receiver is heading into free agency.

However, he has not been quiet about where he hopes to land by the time the 2024 season rolls around.

After tearing his ACL in October, Bourne has been rehabbing and preparing to come back. And he has made it clear that he wants the Patriots to re-sign him.

But according to the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, "negotiations between the Patriots and Bourne have not advanced since the team approached his camp about re-signing shortly after the receiver tore his ACL in late October."

"Bourne visited the team facility on Thursday and Friday and is ahead of schedule with his recovery, per source," Callahan added.

Bourne has used his social media platform to send a message to the Patriots. But nothing has come from it

And earlier this week, KPRC's Aaron Wilson reported that Bourne is "currently expected to test the market where strong interest is expected."

Bourne was set to have one of his best seasons prior to the injury, finishing with 37 total receptions for 406 receiving yards and four touchdowns across eight games.

In his seven years in the league, Bourne has 264 receptions for 3,409 receiving yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. He also has 19 carries for 168 rushing yards.

Considering the Patriots need some serious help in the wide receiver room, Bourne should be a key target for the team.

The official "legal tampering" period for NFL free agency will start on Monday, March 11.
