Many of the players in the New England Patriots locker room haven't been able to hide their excitement over having Kendrick Bourne back on the field.

The wide receiver started the season on the physically unable to perform list after tearing his ACL last year. However, after the mandatory four weeks were up, he began practicing on Wednesday.

And with that, he also brought back his well-known dance moves.

"We got our dance battle back," second-year receiver DeMario Douglas told A to Z Sports. "It feels good to have him back out there, to have my little dance partner."

Tyquan Thornton completely agreed.

"It's definitely been a battle. We enjoy it," he added. "We try to have fun with it while we're out there."

These battles are between Bourne, Douglas, and Thornton. But when you ask each who appears to be winning, all of their answers differ.

"Oh definitely me," Douglas said.

"I'm going to go with myself," Thornton replied. "I feel like I got some good moves. KB, I feel like he's a little stiff. Pop, I feel like he really doesn't have too much range."

However, Bourne didn't even have to be asked who he thinks is the best. He just outright said it.

"I'm the best dancer hands down," the veteran receiver said. "Tyquan's a good dancer. He's got rhythm and he's got choreography. But overall, I got the most moves."

However, when it comes to who can dance the longest, there is only one player who can claim first place.

"KB, he can dance all day," Thornton said with a smile. "When things are going good, when things are going bad, he's just going to be the same him. He's going to keep dancing.

While the receiver was rehabbing from his injury, his main focus was getting back onto the field as quickly as possible. However, he did find some time to work on a few new moves.

"Been working on my dance moves," Bourne explained. "Trying to get my first TD celebration ready."

The shift in energy when Bourne steps foot into that locker room is very apparent. While he's been around the team throughout the season, having him back as a participant takes things to a whole other level.

"It's a big difference," Douglas said. "He's that energy when things are down, he still has the energy. That's what we need, that encouragement, that bright spot."

And when he gets on the field, it's even better.

"Just him being out there is a threat," Douglas added. "A lot of guys know what he can do. Good route runs he's still got after the ACL, and good hangs.

Just like before, Thornton echoed his friend's sentiments.

"It's exciting to have him back out there. Man, we've been missing him," he said. "Definitely been missing the energy. Very genuine guy. Just glad to have him back out there."

So expect to see a lot of dance moves prior to Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

"We're going to go out there pregame. We're going to have fun. We're going to dance around," Thornton said.
