FRANKFURT, GERMANY — Robert Kraft is certainly not happy with how this season has gone. And on Sunday, the cameras caught his reaction to yet another poor play.
Mac Jones attempted to connect with Hunter Henry in the end zone, but his poor pass was almost picked off by a Colts defender.
After watching the play, Kraft just put his head down.
Prior to the game, Kraft spoke with NFL Network's Rich Eisen and didn't hold back about the struggles the team has had.
“This is our 30th year that I’ve had the privilege of owning this team, and I’ve never been 2-7. It’s really disappointing," he said. "I had hoped things would be a lot better as I know our fan base (does.). I hope today is chance to reset and make it a much better year … this isn’t what we expected to happen this year.”
There have been numerous issues with the team this year that have contributed to the poor performance, but one stands out: Mac Jones.
This was one of a few poor throws the quarterback made during the game. And his worst came in the fourth quarter a bit later after he attempted to find Mike Gesicki, but instead gave it right to the Colts defender. And he easily intercepted the ball.
Talk about a momentum killer.
Following the play, Bailey Zappe was up on the sidelines, throwing the ball.
It seems everyone, including Bill O'Brien is fed up with the third-year quarterback.
