In a recent exclusive interview with the 33rd team, Bill Belichick touched upon various topics, with one particularly interesting point being the coaches he has collaborated with and those he would have liked to work alongside.

Bill Belichick's football journey spans several decades, beginning in 1975 when he started as an assistant for the Baltimore Colts, earning a modest weekly wage of just $25. Since then, Belichick has built an illustrious career, which includes coaching what he considers to be the best players ever in their respective positions: special teamer Matthew Slater, quarterback Tom Brady, and linebacker Lawrence Taylor. Belichick has played a significant role in some of the most outstanding teams in NFL history, amassing an impressive record of 329 wins and 165 losses, along with an impressive collection of eight Super Bowl rings.

When posed with the question, "Who would you want to have coached against?", Bill Belichick offered a rephrased response, expressing his interest in coaching alongside certain individuals instead. "That's a great question, I don't know about coach against but how about coaching with? Put Paul Brown at the top of that list, I was able to spend some time around Coach Brown in Cleveland when I was really young and at Cincinnati when I was a teenager. I would love to have to done that." Belichick also mentioned "Coach Halas" as another coach he wishes he got the chance to coach with.

Belichick went on to show some appreciation to coaches he has coached alongside during his time in the NFL, "I am really fortunate to have coached against some of the great coaches in our era. Obviously, coaching for Bill Parcells had a huge impact on my life and my career." Belichick continued by listing some of the great coaches he got to work with "I'll count coach Davis(Al) as a coach because he really was, coach (Joe) Gibbs, coach (Tom)Landry, coach (Bill)Walsh, and coach (Mike)Shanahan.

Belichick showed some love for the side of the ball he most enjoys: "On the defensive side of the ball,  I got to go against some of the guys I have a ton of respect for, Bill Cowher, Marty Schottenheimer. Those guys are kind of from the same tree. Then, I'd honestly put Jimmy Johnson up there, probably at the top of the list for what he did defensively in Dallas and Miami. Dave Wannstedt kind of followed a little bit. How much I learned in preparing for them and getting ready to play them, they had a lot to do with making me work harder and be better."

Belichick capped it off by coming full circle and saying, "I would love to have coached with coach Brown, coach Halas and obviously coach Lombardi. I never really crossed over with them"
