The 2024 New England Patriots schedule is officially out and it will not be easy for them this year.

Jerod Mayo is looking to prove himself, having one of the toughest jobs in the NFL: having to take over after Bill Belichick. And with Drake Maye, all eyes will be on New England. 

However, it's unknown if he will be in the pocket or if New England could look to bench him for the first season and play Jacoby Brissett. 

So to have a bit of fun, I predicted all 18 games for the Patriots. There are so many unknown factors at the moment, so I did my best.

Week 1 at Cincinnati Bengals 

1 p.m. on September 8, 2024
Patriots lose 17-28: Joe Burrow is back and he is going to want to make a splash in the season opener. Unfortunately for the Patriots, they are the ones that have to play against the Bengals. While I do think the Patriots offense could show some signs of improvement, especially considering the new additions in the draft, I don't think they can match Burrow's production. And it's most likely that Jacoby Brissett will be the starter rather than Drake Maye. 

Week 2 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Patriots win 24-21: After a week 1 loss, the Patriots will respond in the second week. New England's defense is top notch, so they should be able to hold off Seattle. And Brissett will hopefully be able to get something going on offense. 

Week 3 at New York Jets

Patriots lose 10-14: This is going to come down to defense. While the Jets do have Aaron Rodgers, New England's defense was able to hold off some of the best quarterbacks in the league last year. However, Rodgers could provide New York with the upper hand. 

Week 4 at San Francisco 49ers

Patriots lose 7-24: Brock Purdy led the 49ers to the Super Bowl last season, and after falling in the biggest game, he's going to be hungry to get back. With the talent on San Francisco's roster, this could be the toughest game for New England. 

Week 5 vs. Miami Dolphins

Patriots lose 10-21 : This is a game that Miami should dominate in. The Dolphins are the top team in the AFC East heading into the 2024 season and have the tools to defeat each team, especially those in their division. 

Week 6 vs. Houston Texans

Patriots lose 7-28: Stefon Diggs is coming back to New England, but this time on another team. Plus him combined with C.J. Stroud is a dangerous duo. 

Week 7 at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

Patriots win 27-24: This is the Patriots game to win. And after everything that happened with Mac Jones, this is the time to prove that it's a fresh start. It would make things even better if Drake Maye starts. But this is going to be a game that's on a big stage and with a lot of emotions. 

Week 8 vs. New York Jets

1 p.m. on October 27, 2024
Patriots win 23-19: After losing to the Jets once already this season, the Patriots will come back out swinging. And I think they will find a way to stop Aaron Rodgers while also creating opportunities for themselves. 

Week 9 at Tennessee Titans

1 p.m. on November 3, 2024
Patriots win 28-14: Two new coaches going up against one another. And with the Patriots defense combined with the fact that the Titans lost Derrick Henry should allow New England to come away with the win. 

Week 10 at Chicago Bears

1 p.m. November 10, 2024
Patriots win 23-20: Once again, this come down to the defense. And while the Bears have Caleb Williams, if the Patriots feel Drake Maye is ready to go, this could be quite the game for those watching. 

Week 11 vs Los Angeles Rams

1 p.m. on November 17, 2024
Patriots lose 20-10: The Rams were a good team last year and all signs point to them being solid once again. While the team will have hopefully gotten into the swing of things, Los Angeles will be tough to beat. 

Week 12 at Miami Dolphins

1 p.m. on November 24, 2024
Patriots lose 24-13: To reiterate, I believe Miami is the team to beat this season in the AFC East and with the Patriots roster combined with all the unknowns, it's going to be really hard to beat them. 

Week 13 vs. Colts

1 p.m. on December 1, 2024
Patriots win 17-14: This is going to be a close game, especially with Anthony Richardson returning. However, if Drake Maye is starting and has that connection with the receivers that everyone thinks is possible, they could get the win. 

Week 14:

Week 15 at Arizona Cardinals

4:25 p.m. on December 15, 2024
Patriots lose 13-20: Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. No defense wants to go up against that. 

Week 16 at Bills

December 22, 2024
Patriots lose 10-28: Josh Allen and Keon Coleman will have built great chemistry and it will be on full display during this game. Especially since it's a divisional game. 

Week 17 vs. Chargers

Patriots lose 20-35: With Joe Alt on the offensive line, the defense is going to struggle getting to Justin Herbert. And because of that, it could be a high scoring game for Los Angeles. 

Week 18: vs./at Buffalo Bills

Patriots win 21-10: I have this for now on the basis that Buffalo makes it into the playoffs already. Because if that's the case, they might rest their starters, which would make New England's chance of winning much easier.
