The New England Patriots' schedule for the 2025 NFL season has officially been revealed.
We now know exactly when the Patriots will play their opponents in 2025, and New England has a fairly easy set of opponents this season based on strength of schedule. There are many questions, one of which is can this team truly make a push to earn a wildcard spot in the playoffs? The path won't be easy, but they are in a much better position than last year.
Here are some quick-hitting, way-too-early game-by-game score predictions for the upcoming season.
Week 1: vs. Las Vegas Raiders (Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. ET)
The New England Patriots have a prime opportunity to start the season with a win, and they should based on all the offseason acquisitions. Of course, the team hasn't truly gotten a chance to get on the field and play together yet, but they are already showing that connection off the field and proving they are buying into the culture Mike Vrabel is building. The Raiders has also made some moves, but if the dominant defensive line can stop Ashton Jeanty and the Patriots offense gets going in the ways they were unable to in the past two seasons, this game should fall in New England's favor.
WIN
Record: 1-0
Week 2: at Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. ET)
The Dolphins have always proven to be a tough match for the Patriots and much of that revolves around their talented receiver core, starting with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. New England will face this team twice, but in the first one, with everyone still healthy and just starting out this season, we have this one going to Miami.
LOSS
Record: 1-1
Week 3: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. ET)
After coming off their first loss, the Patriots will be ready to get back on track and the Steelers are the perfect team for that. There is so much uncertainty here, especially as it concerns the quarterback position. They have been rumored to be interested in Aaron Rodgers, but no moves have been made yet. Without Rodgers, the three quarterbacks on the roster are rookie Will Howard, Mason Rudolph, and Skylar Thompson. This roster uncertainly is the reason for New England getting the win.
WIN
Record: 2-1
Week 4: vs. Carolina Panthers (Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. ET)
The Panthers have done some work on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, but they haven't done as much on offense. Carolina is in a rebuild right now as are the Patriots, but based on the rosters, New England is farther ahead and should come away with the victory.
WIN
Record: 3-1
Week 5: at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, Oct. 5 at 8:20 p.m. ET)
Going up against Josh Allen is always tough and the 2025 season will be no different. Buffalo always comes out swinging, especially against division rivals. And if that's the case, they will most likely take home the prize in this first game.
LOSS
Record: 3-2
Week 6: at New Orleans Saints (Sunday, Oct. 12 at 4:25 p.m. ET)
Another team that is in a rebuild is the New Orleans Saints, especially now that Derek Carr has announced his retirement. They won't name a starting quarterback, leaving that decision until after training camp. All these unknowns give the Patriots a leg up.
WIN
Record: 4-2
Week 7: at Tennessee Titans (Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. ET)
Mike Vrabel gets the win against his former team. While the Titans drafted Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, have they done enough this offseason to be competitive? Based on initial glances, the Patriots have done more.
WIN
Record: 5-2
Week 8: vs. Cleveland Browns (Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m ET)
What is going on with the Cleveland Browns? They have so many quarterbacks on the roster, and while they have a few stars on defense including Myles Garrett, it's not going to be enough.
WIN
Record: 6-2
Week 9: vs. Atlanta Falcons (Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. ET)
The Atlanta Falcons could be a dangerous team this season, with Michael Penix Jr. now leading the way. This will be a tough battle between the 2024 first-round quarterbacks, but we have this one going to the Penix.
LOSS
Record: 6-3
Week 10: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. ET)
Unfortunately for the Patriots, they aren't going to be able to prove to Chris Godwin that he made a mistake not signing with New England. The Buccaneers are just too talented and their offensive core with Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, and Godwin is a lot for defenses to deal with.
LOSS
Record: 6-4
Week 11: vs. New York Jets (Thursday, Nov. 13 at 8:15 p.m. ET)
The Jets brought in Justin Fields, but outside of that, they are still figuring themselves out. And even with that move, their win total over/under is still lower than it was last season. These should be two easy wins for New England.
WIN
Record: 7-4
Week 12: at Cincinnati Bengals (Sunday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. ET)
While the Patriots came away with the win against Cincinnati last season, a mid-season game against Joe Burrow is always tough. This will likely be close, but Burrow and the Bengals get the win as things stand now.
LOSS
Record: 7-5
Week 13: vs. New York Giants (Monday, Dec. 1 at 8:15 p.m. ET)
This primetime football match will be fun and competitive, but based on the rosters, New England gets the win.
WIN
Record: 8-5
Week 14: BYE WEEK
Week 15: vs. Buffalo Bills (Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.)
Stefon Diggs finally gets his revenge. Now that the Patriots have found themselves a bit more, they are able to come out firing on all cylinders and take down Allen and the Bills.
WIN
Record: 9-5
Week 16: at Baltimore Ravens (Sunday, Dec. 21 at 1 p.m.)
The Ravens are just too good of a team and with Lamar Jackson's abilities, it will be too much for the Patriots.
LOSS
Record: 9-6
Week 17: at New York Jets (Sunday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. ET)
For the same reasons as above.
WIN
Record: 10-6
Week 18: vs. Miami Dolphins (TBD)
The Dolphins get the first game, but with a trip to the playoffs on the line, New England isn't risking a loss.
Record: 11-6
