David Andrews was by far the Patriots most consistent player last season. And while there were some questions of a potential retirement following the 2023 season, he decided to return.

And now, it seems he's not going anywhere for another two years.

According to Field Yates, captain David Andrews and the Patriots have agreed to a contract extension through 2025. Before this, his contract was set to expire after this season.

"Under the new deal, Andrews is due a base value of $12M over the next two seasons, with a maximum value of $13M and $8M fully guaranteed," Yates wrote.

David Andrews signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent after the 2015 NFL Draft. And he has become the most important piece in New England's locker room.

He went on to win two Super Bowls, but has also seen the decline in the team since Tom Brady left. Specifically, last season, he was the first to speak with reporters after each and every loss, not shying away from the tough questions.

And it's clear he isn't done yet, wanting to stick around for not just this new era in New England, but also the rebuild that is going on with a new quarterback.

This signing is also major for Drake Maye who gets to have someone on the line that will do everything in their power to protect him, while also helping guide him.
