If last season taught Bailey Zappe anything, it was to always be ready to go.

While that is always the job of the backup quarterback, the New England Patriots have turned to him in the last few weeks. And he had the perfect answer when asked if he is always ready to play when speaking with the media on Sunday after the game.

“In the name of my position, number two, you always have to be ready, no matter what," Zappe said. "It could be the first play of the game, it could be the last play of the game. I’m always ready, I’m the two, so that’s my mindset.”

Zappe finished the game going three-for-nine for 22 yards after going 4-for-9 for 57 yards last week in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

And those same questions have arose during this season, with Zappe chants being heard throughout Gillette Stadium today.

So while the future of the Patriots quarterback remains uncertain, Zappe's mindset is definite
