The New England Patriots are reuniting two players after re-signing a player prior to mandatory minicamp on Monday.

Justus Tavai will once again be joining his older brother Jahlani Tavai on the Patriots roster, a source confirms to A to Z Sports.

This is Justus Tavai's second stint with the Patriots during the offseason program after originally being signed as a undrafted free agent on May 18. The defensive tackle out of San Diego State signed with New England after a successful tryout, but was released shortly after.

Tavai ran a 5.14-second 40-yard dash at his pro day in March at 6-foot-1, 285 pounds. He also ran a 4.74-second 3-cone drill with a 4.77-second short shuttle, 28-inch vertical leap and 8-feet, 6-inch broad jump.

Following the final open session of OTAs on Friday, Jahlani Tavai spoke with reporters about playing with his brother.

"It was a blessing. Not sure what's next for him," Jahlani Tavai said. "Whatever he does I'm always going to be behind him."

The linebacker added that his brother is a quick learned and could use that to his advantage during any future opportunities.

And it's clear that his next opportunity will be with New England once again.

The signing filled the Patriots final open spot on their 90-man roster, but with the rumors of DeAndre Hopkins circling, it will be interesting who will have to go if the star receiver is signed.
