New England Patriots captain David Andrews is certainly missing his former teammate heading into the 2023 season.

Following his 13th season, Devin McCourty announced his retirement, but Andrews is clearly not ready to accept that.

A funny interaction on Twitter began with McCourty writing, "My kids just came home from camp talking about doing laser tag and bumper boats. Is there an adult camp somewhere????"

While he was clearly talking about day camp, one account responded with another solution if McCourty did want to attend a camp.

"Training camp does start next month," the account wrote, to which McCourty responded "I’ll pass on that camp LOL."

However, Andrews responded to that tweet, trying to get the safety to come out of retirement.

Andrews posted a gif of Kenan Thompson asking "you sure?"

Unfortunately for the offensive lineman, McCourty seems pretty set in his decision.

McCourty announced his retirement following the 2022 season, having played in the league and with the Patriots for 13 years. He leaves a huge hole in New England's defense, finishing with a career 914 tackles, three sacks, 35 interceptions, and two touchdowns.

He also finished with three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Pro Bowler. McCourty was named to the New England Patriots All-2010s Team and All-Dynasty Team.

While McCourty's playing days are over, he is following in a similar path to his brother and joining NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' broadcast.
