FOXBOROUGH, Mass – There was no stopping Christian Barmore on Sunday.

The defensive tackle was crucial in the New England Patriots' win over the Denver Broncos on Christmas Eve. And Barmore got himself one of the best presents, finishing the game with three sacks.

However, when asked if this was the best game of his career by reporters on Thursday morning, his answer was simple.

“No," he said. "Got to keep going.”

One reporter later followed up by asking what he thinks his best game has been if this wasn't it. And here's where things got funny.

Barmore thought about the answer for a few seconds and then just smiled.

"I mean, you right. Three sacks is a lot."

All three of his sacks came in the third quarter, with the Broncos offensive line being unable to stop him. At one point, he even had his arms wrapped around Russell Wilson, showing complete power in bringing him down.

After this game, his season sack total is up to 8.5.

He also finished Sunday night's game with eight total tackles, two tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits.

Barmore was drafted by the Patriots in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, being selected just behind quarterback Mac Jones.

He is finishing up the third year of his rookie deal and will be entering the final year in 2024.

He has proven to be a crucial player for the Patriots, so they should be doing everything in their power to keep him longterm. With a contract extension on the table next year, it is clear Barmore has earned it.
