DeAndre Hopkins leaves Titans and Patriots without an offer

There has been a lot of good news so far regarding DeAndre Hopkins' visit with the New England Patriots, and another reporter has added another positive update.

MassLive's Mark Daniels reports that "the visit between the two parties has been positive on both sides."

And from the looks of Hopkins Instagram, this definitely seems to be the case.

The receiver confirmed his visit to the Patriots by posting a photo on his Instagram story alongside Matthew Judon in the locker room and wrote "La Familia."

Hopkins arrived at the facility on Wednesday, with the visit spanning two days, going into Thursday. This marked his second visit since being released by the Arizona Cardinals, first traveling to visit the Tennessee Titans.

It was reported on Thursday that the Titans made an offer to the receiver, but now it will be interesting to see if the Patriots counter that offer.

However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport isn't so sure Hopkins will be willing to accept an offer this early, saying that "waiting makes sense." He believes it would be in Hopkins best interest to hold out a little longer, with so much uncertainty remaining about what the roster needs of each team will be, specifically regarding injuries that might occur during training camp.

But it appears the Patriots aren't backing down without a fight.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reported earlier in the week that the Patriots will attempt to find "common ground" with DeAndre Hopkins and that there is "optimism the two sides can find a way to reach an agreement."

If this report along with the smiling faces in Hopkins' Instagram post is any indication, the Patriots might be adding a star receiver very soon.
