DeAndre Hopkins visiting the Patriots

While Bill Belichick did not confirm whether DeAndre Hopkins will be visiting the Patriots this week, it appears that his meeting in New England is still expected to happen.

The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Hopkins had a successful visit with the Tennessee Titans, but the star receiver is still expected to visit the Patriots.

Schultz added that he might also schedule additional visits.

ESPN's Dianna Russini added Hopkins spent hours talking with players and staff at the Titans facility, with the meeting going very well.

However, while it appears that his meeting did go well, Hopkins left Tennessee without a contract which remains good news for the Patriots.

What Belichick did confirm is that the team has been in contact with the five-time Pro Bowler.

The Patriots released running back James Robinson and defensive back Tae Hayes on Monday afternoon, freeing up two spots on the 90-man roster. One of those spots might have Hopkins name on it.

Kendrick Bourne and Mac Jones have recently spoke with the media, saying they would be very happy to have Hopkins join the team, with Bourne providing a pitch and adding that he is in favor of anything that will help the team win.

And with that, Matthew Judon is among a few fellow teammates and former Patriots players who are willing to pay up if Hopkins were signed by New England.

Judon, Mack Wilson Sr. and LeGarrette Blount are all willing to pay $500 to a charity of Hopkins choosing if he signs with the Patriots.

So now it is up to the Patriots to see if they will pay up.
