FOXBOROUGH, Mass – After some clear issues over the last few weeks, the New England Patriots defense stepped up, knowing they were going up against a future Hall of Fame quarterback.

And specifically, they were able to completely contain Rodgers, not letting him move out of the pocket. So when he was asked about the 40-year-old quarterback's athleticism, Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux gave his brutally honest assessment.

“Yeah, I think he’s struggling right now,” Godchaux said about Rodgers. “Just a Hall of Fame quarterback like that, hate to see him go out that way but always gonna take a win against him, look good on your resume.

"But, yeah, he definitely don’t look the same. You just don’t know if he could move back there. (Expletive), I can run him down and catch him. He don’t look mobile at all. So it was good for us. We know we can get after him and attack him in the passing game too. So, you know, glad to come out here with the win.”

And defensive end Keion White had a similar sentiment.

“So, to our eye, and he didn’t look as mobile as he did the first game, so we tried to take advantage that, be a little bit more aggressive in our rush, and just pressure him and everything like that,” White said (via The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed).

In the Patriots loss to the Jets in Week 3, Rodgers had three carries for 18 yards. But on Sunday, he didn't have one single scramble. That marks four straight games without a single rushing attempt for Rodgers.
