FRANKFURT, GERMANY — The cornerback situation continues to get weirder.

On Sunday, Shaun Wade started opposite Jonathan Jones, while Jack Jones was again sidelined. Jack Jones was spotted sitting on the bench with his hood on during the first defensive series.

The same thing happened in last week's loss to the Washington Commanders, with both Jack Jones and J.C. Jackson benched for the opening drives of the game.

While Bill Belichick initially said this move wasn't disciplinary, it later came out that it indeed was.

And prior to the game, ESPN's Mike Reiss provided some more information on why Jackson was benched for the opening two drives. At first, it was reported that Jackson was late for curfew on Saturday prior to the game against the Commanders, but Reiss reports that the cornerback didn't show up at all.

Jack Jones did miss curfew as well, but did eventually showed up.

Jackson was sidelined for the first two drives of last Sunday's game, while Jack Jones was out for the entire first quarter.

However, Jack Jones traveled with the team to Germany, while Jackson was ruled out prior to the week after being told to stay home.
