The New England Patriots have made one roster move ahead on Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

With the defensive line being pretty banged up, the Patriots have elevated defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. from the practice squad.

This was some what of an expected move after Daniel Ekuale was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending injury.

The Patriots also recently signed DL Manny Jones, but it makes sense that they would elevate Pharms prior to this game. He has more experience in the system and New England needs all the help they can get stopping a dominant Cowboys offense.

Pharms went undrafted in 2020, beginning his career with Champions Indoor Football League’s Witchita Force and the USFL's Pittsburgh Maulers.

After the USFL season, he signed with New England in July 2022, but was waived as part of final roster cuts. He was signed to the practice squad for the duration of that season.

Pharms was once again waived as part of final roster cuts prior to the start of the 2023 season, but earned a spot on the practice squad.

And now he is on track to take his first snaps in an NFL game.

Defensive tackles Davon Godchaux and Christian Barmore are also banged up, with Godchaux having sustained an injury in last Sunday's game against the Jets. They were both listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

Pharms and the Patriots will take the field at AT&T Stadium for a 4:25 p.m. ET game against the Cowboys on Sunday.
