UPDATE: The Patriots have officially ruled Drake Maye out with a concussion, per Jerod Mayo on the CBS broadcast.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye took a tough hit to the head on a scramble during the first half of Sunday's game against the Jets. He was slow to get up after the play.

The Patriots punted soon after, and Maye went right into the blue medical tent. Soon after, Jacoby Brissett was seen warming up on the sidelines while Maye headed into the locker room.

After a promising drive from Maye in the first quarter that resulted in a touchdown, this was the last thing the team needed.

The Patriots have listed him as questionable to return with a head injury shortly.

Here is the play that the rookie quarterback was injured on:

Prior to leaving the game, Maye was three-for-six for 23 passing yards, along with three carries for 46 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

This was a horrible no-call by the officials, and just adds to all the questionable and missed calls from this season.

The Patriots offense saw a lot of improvement the minute Maye took over for Brissett in Week 6. So losing him would be a nightmare situation for this team.
