The New England Patriots are doing a good job of teasing the 2023 season with their Twitter account.

On Thursday, the team tweeted out a video of quarterback Mac Jones throwing deep to wide receiver Tyquan Thornton during an organized team activities session closed to fans.

Thornton was one of New England’s standouts during Wednesday’s OTAs session open to the media. It’s worth noting OTAs are unpadded practices and not always the best indicator of season success.

Last season, wide receiver Tre Nixon was an OTAs darling and never emerged from the practice squad.

Thornton, a 2022 second-round pick, did catch 22 passes for 247 yards with two touchdowns last season despite missing four games and practice time in the summer with a collarbone injury. He made it an emphasis to bulk up this offseason.

Jones, meanwhile, certainly looked like the Patriots’ starting quarterback on Wednesday.
