The New England Patriots released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday ahead of their Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins
Two players did not participate in practice due to concussions. And to make matters worse, they are both on the offensive line, further highlighting the problems in that room.
They are two of seven players listed on the injury report.
Check it out down below:
| Player | Injury | Status |
|---|---|---|
OT Trent Brown | Concussion | DNP |
OL Sidy Sow | Concussion | DNP |
C David Andrews | Hamstring | LP |
WR Kayshon Boutte | Hamstring | LP |
OL Mike Onwenu | Ankle | LP |
WR DeVante Parker | Knee | LP |
G Cole Strange | Knee | LP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Onwenu and Strange did not play in Sunday's season opener and now with Brown and Sow added to the report, the offensive line is really struggling.
They also have two receivers, with Boutte being added to the list. JuJu Smith-Schuster was a question as well, with the receiver having limited playing time on Sunday. Belichick declined to comment on the reason in the morning, instead saying that the injury report would be coming out on Wednesday.
Here is the Dolphins' injury report:
| Player | Injury | Status |
|---|---|---|
T Terron Armstead | Back, Ankle, Knee | LP |
DB Elijah Campbell | Knee | LP |
TE Julian Hill | Ankle | LP |
WR Jaylen Waddle | Oblique | LP |
RB De’Von Achane | Shoulder | FP |
CB Xavien Howard | Thumb | FP |
S Brandon Jones | Knee | FP |
