Rob Ninkovich will no longer be at ESPN after his contract expires this summer.
The former New England Patriots linebacker and current NFL analyst will not have his contract renewed, sources told Front Office Sports.
Ninkovich has been with ESPN since 2019 and was featured on shows such as “SportsCenter,” “NFL Live,” and “Get Up.” He is just the latest victim of ESPN's layoffs.
They have also recently cancelled a prominent show, with Keyshawn Johnson, Max Kellerman and Jay Williams also out. More layoffs are expected to occur as ESPN looks to cut costs.
Front Office Sports specified that ESPN is going about the layoffs in different ways, not renewing some contracts, while buying out others.
The 39-year-old retired in July 2017 after 11 year in the NFL. That included eight with the Patriots winning two Super Bowls in 2015 and 2017.
