Throughout the offseason, Stefon Diggs has been sharing numerous videos of himself working out as he recovers from an ACL tear he sustained in October of the 2024 season.
And with that, it's brought into question his potential status for the start of this upcoming season as he prepares to make his debut with the New England Patriots.
In the videos, it doesn't look like Diggs has missed a beat, showing off his speed and precision. So, will the Patriots start him on the physically unable to perform list to start the year, or will he be out there in Week 1?
According to Patriots insider Albert Breer on NBC Sports Boston, Diggs is "trending to being able to play" in New England's season opener against Las Vegas Raiders at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 7.
Back in April, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel prasied Diggs, saying that he is "doing everything" in his pre-draft press conference.
"I think he's doing everything – like everybody else, he's working hard, and I think he's excited about being here and being a Patriot," Vrabel said. "He's a motivated player, he's a hungry player, just like everybody else that that's here and that's working."
Diggs had six consecutive 1,000 yard seasons before the injury prevented him from getting his seventh in a row. But, with Drake Maye in the pocket and the amount targets he's expected to get, there's no reason why Diggs can't get back to where he was before.
Especially if he's out there in Week 1.
