Patriots hosting free-agent wide receiver coming off two major injuries
The Patriots are hosting a slew of free agents on Thursday.
Add another potential New England Patriots free-agent signing to the growing list of players visiting Gillette Stadium on Thursday.
The Patriots are hosting wide receiver Bisi Johnson, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Johnson, 25, missed both the 2021 and 2022 seasons with torn ACLs.
The 2019 seventh-round pick caught 45 passes for 483 yards with three touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons. He caught 14 passes for 189 yards in 16 games in 2020. He’s split his time between outside and the slot.
The Patriots have already signed free-agent wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster after losing Jakobi Meyers to the Las Vegas Raiders. Nelson Agholor remains unsigned as a free agent. New England also still has Kendrick Bourne, DeVante Parker, Tyquan Thornton, Raleigh Webb, Lynn Bowden and Tre Nixon on their 90-man roster.
New England is also hosting free-agent pass rusher Andrew Van Ginkel and safety Taylor Rapp on Thursday.
