Despite having joined the New England Patriots in the middle of the season, J.C. Jackson has quickly become familiar with their struggles so far.

And on Sunday, he aimed to do his part on defense to make the stops that would put them in a position to win. However, he was called for defensive pass interference late in the fourth quarter, which provided the Las Vegas Raiders with a crucial first down.

And he was not happy when asked about the call after the game.

“It was bulls***, man. It was bulls***,” Jackson told NESN's Dakota Randall. "That was good coverage. Tight coverage.”

The Raiders were facing a third-and-8 on their 27-yard line with just under three minutes remaining. Down by two, the Patriots were looking to get a big defensive stop that would get the ball back in their hands.

Raiders quarterback Brian Hoyer's pass intended for Tre Tucker was incomplete (and overthrown), but the yellow flags went flying and Jackson was called for defensive pass interference.

And it was clear Jackson along with many of the members on the Patriots were unhappy about the call, showing their discontent on the sidelines.

The officials never provided Jackson with an explanation according to Randall, and the cornerback said that he "played it exactly how I wanted to play it."

The Patriots ultimately ended up losing the game, 21-17, after the Raiders brought Mac Jones down in the end zone resulting in a safety.

So now the Patriots drop to 1-5 heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

“I mean, just frustrating, man,” Jackson said. “Losing in the NFL each week is tough. It’s gonna be tough for us."
