After Tuesday's practice in full pads, Jabrill Peppers came into the locker room and was immediately seen by a trainer. Moments later, he had a large wrap covering his hand, icing it down.
And when speaking with A to Z Sports in the locker room, the New England Patriots safety provided an update on what was going on.
Peppers had injured his finger during practice and was set to get an Z-ray soon after.
However, according to the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, the X-ray came back negative, which is very good for the Patriots.
This is a bit of a scare as Peppers has easily been one of the Patriots' top players this season. So losing him on top of all the other injuries so far would not be good.
However, he did say that "regardless" of what happened, the expectation is that he will be out there on Sunday for the matchup against the New York Giants.
So far this season, Peppers has come away with some major plays, recording 59 total tackles, one forced fumbles, one interception, and six passes defended across 10 games.
So while he had a bit of a scare, the X-ray should provided a clearer picture.
