One New England Patriots legend took a moment to congratulate Jason Kelce after the Philadelphia Eagles center announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday.

Julian Edelman, who has a genuine friendship with Kelce, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"This is what it's all about man. Gave everything to the game. Time for the next chapter… congrats @JasonKelce," Edelman wrote.

The center teased his retirement announcement on Monday, morning, posting on X that he had made a decision.

"No Keg videos this year, I have come to a decision and will address it at a press conference this afternoon," he wrote.

And at 1 p.m., he officially announced his retirement with his family alongside him, showing their support.

Kelce showed so much emotion, breaking down in tears as he realized his playing career had officially come to an end. And even Travis shed a few tears during the speech.

Throughout his 13-year NFL career, Kelce started in 193 games. And in his final year, he did not miss a single game, allowing only one sack and 12 total pressures.

Plus Kelce gets to retire with a Super Bowl ring. Yet, the worst part is he did get that one with the victory over the Patriots in 2018.

But Edelman still took the time to congratulate him. Guess there are no hard feelings from that loss.

However, in all seriousness, Kelce is one of the best in the history of the NFL and its fitting that Edelman took a moment to appreciate that and congratulate him.
