The NFL Trade deadline is looming and the New England Patriots are one team everyone is watching after the clear struggles this season.

According to The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed, teams have been calling about many of the Patriots impending free agents and a trade is "definitely possible" ahead of the deadline.

However, there is one name that has been getting the most attention, and that is outside linebacker Josh Uche.

Uche has been sidelined for the last two games for the Patriots, reportedly dealing with a knee and ankle injury in Week 7 and an ankle and toe injury in Week 8 .

Kyed further reported that the Patriots could potentially get a third- or fourth-round pick for the linebacker.

Across his four years with the Patriots, Uche has 54 total tackles, 17.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery across 42 games played.

This year alone, he has six total tackles and two sacks in six games.

Kendrick Bourne was also a name that was being floated around as a possible trade candidate, but the receiver tore his ACL in the Patriots' loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and is now sidelined for six to eight months.

Along with Bourne and Uche, tight ends Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki along with offensive tackle Trent Brown and safety Jalen Mills are all set to be free agents after the 2023 season. With with that, safety Kyle Dugger and offensive lineman Mike Onwenu are in the final years of their rookie contract.

Sitting at a 2-6 record following Week 8, the Patriots are expected to be sellers and focus more on building up draft picks for the 2024 season. But Bill Belichick is known to be unpredictable so let's see what happens.
