One Denver radio personality had everybody talking at the start of this week after he reported that one future Hall of Famer could be eyeing a return to the NFL.
Cecil Lammey on Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan reported that legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski has been working out in Vail, Colorado and is attempting a comeback with the Denver Broncos.
On Tuesday, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport called the report "nonsense."
And on Wednesday, Gronkowski put an end to all these rumors. Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz spoke with Gronkowski about a potential comeback.
“Crazy bro," he told Schultz. "They must know something about me that I don’t. I wish I still had those powers, because that would be cool if I did. But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it’s time to relax a little. No football.”
Across his 11 years in the league, Gronkowski won four Super Bowls. He spent nine years with the New England Patriots before following Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two seasons.
