EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Despite having earned the starting role this week, Bailey Zappe was on the sidelines, ready to go throughout the whole game.

In the first half alone, Jones threw two interceptions and had one strip-sacked. This marked one of, if not his worst performance of the season.

So when the Patriots took the field for the start of the second half, it was Zappe who came on and replaced Jones.

All week, Bill Belichick would not comment on who the starting quarterback was. And he stayed true to that, with the news finally breaking on Saturday night.

Jones first interception game came after he threw off his back foot when trying to  find Demario Douglas. He was met with three Giants defenders swarming the rookie receiver and Deonte Banks came away with the ball.

Soon after, the Patriots became the first team to make it inside the 30-yard line. They kept trying to get closer, but were met with a crucial third down once again. Jones turned to Douglas, but was met with double coverage this time and the ball was picked off.

Yet, after the two interceptions, Belichick send Jones out there once again. And on the next drive, Jones was strip-sacked on third down, but guard Cole Strange was able to recover the ball.

So at least they punted instead of turned the ball over deep in their zone.

After every drive, it seemed that Jones' time was done, but they continued to send him out.

However, after halftime they had officially seen enough.

Coming back to the field prior to the start of the third quarter, Bailey Zappe was seen taking snaps from starting center David Andrews

Let's see if Zappe can turn this thing around.
