Robert Kraft is one step closer to earning a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Patriots owner was one of 29 coaches and contributors that have been named semifinalists to be enshrined in the Class of 2024.

The candidates will be reduced to 12 individuals that will be announced on July 27. The committee will then narrow it down to one on August 15 who will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio.

Here are the other semifinalists in the coach/contributor category:

K.S. “Bud” Adams Jr., Roone Arledge, C.O. Brocato, Tom Coughlin, Alex Gibbs, Ralph Hay, Mike Holmgren, Frank “Bucko” Kilroy, Eddie Kotal, Elmer Layden, Jerry Markbreit, Virginia McCaskey, Rich McKay, John McVay, Art Modell, Buddy Parker, Carl Peterson, Dan Reeves, Art Rooney Jr., Marty Schottenheimer, Jerry Seeman, George Seifert, Mike Shanahan, Clark Shaughnessy, Seymour Siwoff, Jim Tunney, Lloyd Wells and John Wooten.

Kraft certainly has a resume full of achievements since purchasing the Patriots in 1994, helping ensure that the team will remain in New England. And with that, he has also brought home six Super Bowl championships to Foxborough.

The 82-year-old can possibly join six Patriots players and coaches who he has worked with during his tenure as owner.

Also among the nominees is receiver Stanley Morgan who played with the Patriots from 1977 to 1989, making four Pro Bowls while with New England.

While he has some tough competition, Kraft makes a strong case to get that spot.
