DeVante Parker left the game during the second half with a head injury on a dangerous play that left him dizzy.
Mac Jones threw the ball to the receiver, but Dolphins safety Deshon Elliott tackled Parker to the ground with a blatant helmet-to-helmet hit.
It appeared that he sustained a concussion from the hit, having lost his balance while attempting to get up and was taken over to the sidelines soon after.
While Bill Belichick did not answer any questions about the officiating, some of the other Patriots players were asked about the play after the game, with one not holding back.
Matthew Slater wants to see Elliott held accountable.
"I think he'll end up getting fined for that play. When they go back and watch it, they'll probably end up fining him," Slater said confidently. "They'll fine him."
Parker's status hasn't been confirmed at this time, but the hit is expected to sideline him for at least one week. And while David Andrews did not want to comment on the officiating, he did express concern for his fellow teammate.
"I don't think you ever want to see someone go down. I'm not sure what they're looking for and certain things," Andrews said. "I hope DP (DeVante Parker) is alright. Unfortunately, it’s just a sad part of the game, injuries. But DP is a tough great pro, and I really appreciate him.”
And lastly, Patriots quarterback Mac Jones was also asked how difficult to see Parker go down.
"Yeah, definitely tough. Had a lot of injuries and all that stuff, but at the end of the day, we got to fight together and figure it out. So get to make sure those guys are OK. I hope they're OK," Jones said. "Like I said, I have a lot of respect for DP (DaVante Parker) and KB (Kendrick Bourne). They're two of my closest friends and I hope they're OK."
Last season, Parker also suffered a concussion, showing clear symptoms following the play. Yet, despite it all the officials failed to call it until they were yelled at by other players on the field.
So far this season, Parker has 15 receptions for 158 total yards and no touchdowns across seven games.
