There have been a lot of shocking reports regarding coaching over the past few days, with the NFL regular season having just come to a close.
However, there was coach that has decided his tenure has come to an end, and that was announced on Wednesday.
According to ESPN, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is retiring.
Saban took over at Alabama in 2007, and led the team to six National Championships and nine SEC championships.
He finishes his career with a total of seven National Titles and 11 SEC championships, including his time at LSU in the early 2000s.
Because of his success, there have been a lot of comparisons between Saban and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. The have been known to have a close friendship, even doing a documentary together about the "Art of Coaching."
This has already turned into a crazy year of coaching changes, and Saban just adds to that. Now all that's left is to see what happens with Belichick in New England

Jones played at Alabama from 2017–2020, winning two National Championships before being drafted by the Patriots in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
LB Mack Wilson
Wilson played at Alabama from 2016 to 2019, before being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

LB Dont'a Hightower
The Former Patriots linebacker played for Saban at Alabama from 2008 to 2011. He went on to win three Super Bowl championships in New England.

Jennings played for Saban at Alabama from 2015 to 2019, winning two National Championships during his time there.
