The rumors surrounding free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins are starting to heat up, and the Patriots face an uphill battle to lure Hopkins to Foxboro, Mass.

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported on Wednesday that Hopkins is heading to the Tennessee Titans facility this weekend. This marks the beginning of Hopkins' free agency tour, and the market for Hopkins is expected to be strong, but one horse may have just dropped from the race.

The Cleveland Browns have been tied to Hopkins since his release last week, but longtime Cleveland Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reported on Wednesday that the Browns are unlikely to pursue the star wideout.

Hopkins and Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson have a history of success together as well. Hopkins was a three-time first-team All-Pro selection and a three-time Pro Bowler during those three seasons with Watson. They had an exceptional run together. Hopkins caught 315 passes for 4,115 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns in those three seasons.

Cabot noted that Deshaun Watson is still interested in adding Hopkins, but the team isn't actively seeking to acquire a big-name receiver. Cabot referred to it as "currently unlikely to happen, but never say never." Apart from the Titans, no additional free-agent visits for Hopkins have been reported yet.
