The New England Patriots made a huge mistake by not re-signing receiver Jakobi Meyers.

Instead, the Patriots opted to sign WR JuJu Smith Schuster, and that decision looks increasingly like a historically bad one with each passing week. Smith Schuster has 14 receptions for 86 yards compared to Meyers, who has 30 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns.

Meyers currently has five catches for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots, and it is only half-time. Furthermore, with the touchdown catch, Meyers made history. He passed another Patriots favorite, Danny Amendola, for fifth place in all-time receptions among undrafted free agents in their first 65 games, according to @RAIDERS_PR.
