Kendrick Bourne is returning to New England next season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bourne has re-signed with the Patriots on a three-year deal worth up to $33 million.

Bourne has not been shy in his desires to return to the Patriots for the 2024 season after tearing his ACL last season. However, the clock was winding down for a deal to get done, with the wide receiver set to become a free agent on Monday at noon.

But not anymore.

It was reported last month that Bourne was going to test the market, but it seems that New England's offer was too good to pass up.

This comes just after the Patriots re-signed tight end Hunter Henry to a three-year deal on Friday. And they also traded Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Bourne was set to have one of his best seasons prior to the injury, finishing with 37 total receptions for 406 receiving yards and four touchdowns across eight games.

In his seven years in the league, Bourne has 264 receptions for 3,409 receiving yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. He also has 19 carries for 168 rushing yards.

And bringing him back helps the wide receiver room, which was is in desperate need of some help this offseason. This is a very good start.

The official "legal tampering" period for NFL free agency will start on Monday, March 11, but Bourne will not be a part of that.
